One thing I can never have too many of is birthday cards. Now with Sammy going to little birthday parties, I thought a set of children's birthday cards would be great to add to my stash. Here is my set:
I used the Sweet Treats cartridge for my birthday card set. I also
found a great paper stack that I love The Celebration Stack
by DCWV. Of course, the cute sentiments are what really make
these cards adorable. :)
*Happy Birthday* is from the NEW stamp set *Birthday Wishes* by
My Craft Spot. The hat is from the Sweet Treats cartridge on pg. 44,
cut at 3.5". I added stickles and glossy accents to the star. I framed
the hat with *denim* twine.
*Put on your Party Hat & Party* -how cute! Another sentiment
from the NEW set *Birthday Wishes*.

Stamp Release Party Day 1 - Happy Easter

Hi everyone! Welcome to day 1 of My Craft Spot's New Stamp Release Party. Today I, along with the other design team members, will be showcasing sneak peeks of the new stamp set *Happy Easter*. Here is a card I made for Mother's Day with the set.
The flower is from the Flower Shoppe cartridge, cut at 2.50" and 2.25". The
*Happy Mother's Day!* sentiment is from the new stamp set *Happy Easter*
by My Craft Spot. There are so many cute sentiments in this set.
The twine is *spring green* traditional twine. Since
I made this card for my mom, I had to use one of the
lovely crotched flowers she has made for me. :)
I rolled the edges of the flower with the end of a paint
brush for a little extra dimension. The A2 card base
is made with Aqua Mist cardstock by PTI.
OK, now that you've enjoyed a sneak peek of the new *Happy Easter* set, head over to the My Craft Spot blog and leave a comment to win today's prize:
Trendy Twine Chocolate Duo
You'll also want to check out all the other design team members' wonderful projects. :) I'll see you back here tomorrow, Day #2, for a sneak peek of another new stamp set during our week long stamp release party for My Craft Spot.

Monday Challenge #49 - Spring Scallops

Hi everyone! It's Monday and that means it's time for another challenge over at My Craft Spot blog. This week's challenge is *spring scallops*. I decided to make a set of notecards for my mom. My mom made me a bunch of beautiful crocheted flowers, and I knew I wanted to use them on the cards.
This pretty set comes complete with some sweet pea seed packets.
I made a pocket for the cards with a middy bitty bag, stitched on the
sides with my sewing machine. The scalloped cards are cut from the Mini
Monograms cartridge. The crinkle ribbon bow is petal pink from My
Craft Spot. I made the flower on the front using the Flower Shoppe
cartridge.
The sentiment is from the Sweet Sentiments #2 set by
My Craft Spot.
I used the swiss dot embossing folder for a little extra detail.
Be sure to link up your card/project this week HERE. Have a great week!

My Craft Spot Challenge #47 -For The Birds

Hi everyone! It's Monday and time for another challenge over at My Craft Spot blog. This week's challenge is *For The Birds*. The only requirement is, your project must include a bird on it somewhere. Sounds fun! Here is my card:
I made a couple of *just because* cards. The hen is
from the Country Life cartridge on page 43, cut at
2.75 ". The *Thinking of you* sentiment is from the
Sweet Sentiments set #1 by My Craft Spot. I added
a vintage cherry twine bow. I inked the edges and
stitched around the border with my sewing machine.
I cut extra layers of the tail feathers and wing so I  could
add some dimension by bending the edge up.
I hope you take part in this week's challenge and link up a picture of your project on My Craft Spot blog. I look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations. :)

I have more to share this week including my Valentine's Day recap. Better late than never.
