Packaging Idea For Gift Certificates

Hi everyone! Here is a cute packaging idea I came up with for those gift certificates you want to give. Most gift certificates fit in legal sized envelopes. I wanted to *dress* mine up a bit.

From a plain white envelope, to a cute little gift. I used the new *Lacy Banners* metal dies paired with the *Chunky Alphabet* by My Craft Spot for the banner.
The cute little santa owl is from the Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge on page 37 cut at 2.25".
I stamped the *Merry* from the *Joy To The World* stamp set. I also added a traditonal red twine bow at each end of my banner. These are so quick, cute, and easy to make!!!
Here are the envelopes I started with from Staples.

I hope you enjoyed this post and have a safe and wonderful holiday season.

New Stamp Release Day #4- Think Snow

Welcome to day four of the New Stamp Release Party. Today we are sharing a sneak peek of the new stamp set *Think Snow*. Lots of cute sentiments!! Now,when I think of snow, I think of Sammy playing in the snow...
*Snowbody warms my heart like you!* Awww! What a sweet
sentiment for the new stamp set *Think Snow*.  The snowman is
from the Winter Frolic cartridge cut at 3.00". The little girl
was cut at 2.75". The girl is actually the ice skater with the boy
throwing snow's pants and feet.
If you look closely you can see the glitter paper I cut
with the *Tiny Doilies* metal dies.

My Craft Spot Challenge #41 -Snow Much Fun

Brrrrrrr, it's cold outside! I love it, and so do my girls. Perfect for today's challenge at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge is *snow much fun*. Be sure to make a card/project and link it HERE for a chance to win the *Winter Wonderland* stamp set by My Craft Spot. Here is my project...
I LOVE the new bags now offered at My Craft Spot. I folded the
bag up from the bottom and then stitched the sides together with
my sewing machine to form a pocket for my card and a chocolate treat.
I used chocolate truffle twine for my bow.

The snowman is from the winter frolic cartridge cut at 3" .
The *Frosty Kisses* phrase was cut at 1 1/4". The scarf is
navy seam binding. The stamp I used for the face is the
*snow cuties* set from Peachy Keen stamps. I use the *snow
cuties* set the most!

The sentiment is from the *winter wonderland* set by
My Craft Spot. I think making this card worked because
it started snowing right after I made this card, and we
got a ton of it!

Have a great week, and stay warm!

*I'm dreaming of a White Christmas*, perfect sentiment for my
little guy making a snow angel. :) The snow angel and layers are
from the Winter Frolic cartridge, cut at 3". I used light denim
crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot and stone colored twine.
The face is a Peachy Keen face stamp and *I'm dreaming of a
White Christmas* sentiment is from the White Christmas set
by My Craft Spot (available for purchase Saturday)
The *snow* is polar white flower soft.
I stitched around both the outside and inside of my card.

BRRR...

Happy 2011! I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday break! I sure enjoyed spending time with my family making fun memories together. The big news for our family this break was,... Maddie got her license! Now we have another driver in the house, which will be really nice! The big girls went back to school yesterday, and even though I miss them, it will be good to get back on a schedule. Lots of late nights equal grumpy girls. :)

One of my resolutions this year is to get on a better schedule with crafting and blog posting. :) I really need to get my card *stash* built back up. It is frustrating when I need a card and I don't already have one made, or time to make one, and I end up buying one. *gasp* I'm happy to report, that I'm off to a good start.

The weather here in the Seattle area inspired today's card...BRRRR!

Recipe:
  • Winter Woodland cartridge
  • Winter Frolic cartridge
  • AWI Action Wobbles
  • Enamel Accents-black
  • Stickles
  • DCWV *Tis the Season* stack
  • PTI Aqua Mist cardstock
  • Scotch Quick Dry glue
  • Stampin Up Pop Dots
  • Corner rounder
  • Standard A2 sized card base
Cuts:
  • Winter Frolic cartridge pg.35
  • 3" foundation beaver and all layers
  • Winter Woodland cartridge pg.69
  • 1"  foundation BRRRR and shadow

The colors on this card are some of my favorites. Everywhere I look I see shades of aqua...and I'm loving it! I feel like aqua is one of those great colors that feels *cool* and can be used for spring, summer, or winter. A fun thing you can't see in this picture is, I used an Action Wobble behind the beaver and he *shakes* like he's really cold. If you haven't seen any information about the AWI Action Wobbles yet, you can find out more here. Also, I've been using black enamel accents on my critter eyes and noses. It kinda seems to *flatten out* when it dries, so I am going to stick with my tried and true glossy accents.

Gatta go finish my submission for My Pink Stamper's design challenge. :)
