Still Loving

I'm on roll--two posts in two days. Woohoo! :) Still learning about the different features on the Imagine. Still learning... and still loving. For today's card I used the Best Friends Imagine cartridge, twine and stamps from My Craft Spot, and cardstock from PaperTrey Ink.
The Best Friends cartridge has some of the cutest
images. I love the color palette. *just because* is from

the stamp set Sweet Sentiments set #1 by My Craft Spot.

Cuts:
  • Best Friends Imagine cartridge pg.26
  • 3 1/2"  Bird

Cricut Imagine

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. It feels good relaxing and spending time with the girls. I've also been playing with my new birthday present--an Imagine. YES! I still have a couple weeks until my *official* birthday, but I couldn't wait. I haven't had much time to play with it yet, but so far it seems pretty user friendly. Quality wise, it's awesome. I love it as much as I love my *regular* store bought patterned paper. Take a look...
How cute, right. This card is made with the Kate's Kitchen
cartridge. The background papers are also from the same cartridge.

I printed on white textured AC cardstock. The twine and
*you make life sweet* sentiment are both from My Craft Spot.
With the layers feature on the Imagine, I was able to cut out the
different layers of the cupcake, and *pop* them up for added
dimension. I did add glossy accents to the eyes--a little hard to tell
in this picture. A little machine stitching for the finishing touches.
Cuts:
  • Kate's Kitchen Imagine cartridge pg.19
  • 3 1/2"  Cupcakes and layers
  • KK cartridge pg.39
  • 4.1" square shape background paper
  • KK cartridge pg.41
  • 4.1" square shape (printed in draft mode)
  • Standard A2 sized card-cardstock from PTI

Getting ready for a long weekend with family. Fun!

Sweet Treats Challenge #13

Good Morning! It's Monday and time for another fun challenge over at My Craft Spot. Today's challenge is all about sweet treats. There are lots of options with this theme. I made a road trip kit, that will be perfect for those long trips in the car this summer. The cool thing about this kit is you can refill
or recycle this container easily. Here is my project...
I used the containers found at most craft stores
for organizing craft supplies. These are perfect
in size and plastic not glass, so they are light weight.
The *To* and *HUGS* sentiments are from Sweet
Sentiments #1 and #2 stamp sets by My Craft Spot.
The *road trip* cut is from the Pack Your Bags
cartridge.
I tried to pack the kit with treats that wouldn't melt,
like chocolate. The colors are summery--fun.
The cute twine is tied to the jar and not the lid,
so you can still grab the treats quickly. :)
I added glossy accents to the word *trip* and to the suitcases. After
all of the treats are gone, this could hold all of those little
souvenirs that my kids have to keep, like shells and little
knickknacks. Perfect gift--love it!

Cuts:
  • Pack Your Bags cartridge pg.23
  • 2 1/4"  Phrase
  • Plantin SchoolBook cartridge pg. 72
  • 3 1/4 and 3 1/2" circle
  • PS cartridge pg.78
  • tag
  • Standard A2 sized card-cardstock from PTI

Have a great week! Only 3 more days of school--anyone can do 3 days. :)

Chunky Glitter

Good morning! I finally opened my chunky glitter by Doodlebug, and I love it! Doodlebug has an assortment pack you can buy called *sugar coating*, with every color you'll ever need. Here is a set of get well cards that I used the glitter on.
The glitter adds a little something extra to a simple card. I did
stitch around the white oval layer with my sewing machine.

I used glossy accents for the *glue* to add the glitter. I popped the
whale up with some Stampin Up dimensionals.
Cuts:
  • Just Because cartridge pg.47
  • 2 3/4"  whale
  • 4 1/2 get whale soon
  • JBC pg. 49
  • 5 1/4" oval
  • Standard A2 sized card-cardstock from PTI
Remember, you still have time to enter a card/project for this weeks challenge at My Craft Spot-here. Have a great weekend. :)

Tie It On! Challenge #11

Hi everyone! It's challenge time over at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge *tie it on*. Let's add some ribbon or twine to your project. The winner from this weeks challenge will win 3 colors of beautiful crinkle ribbon-YOU PICK the colors. Awesome prize. Check out the inspiration for this weeks challenge over at My Craft Spot and be sure to like up your finished project. :)

I needed some gift card holders for all of my end of year thank you cards. I sewed a little pocket to the front of my card, to hold the gift card-easy! A seafood restaurant themed gift needed a little crab *holding* the card. Perfect!
I wrapped the caribbean colored twine and attached the tag
stamped with the Enjoy! sentiment from the
Sweet Sentiments set #2. I added a little stitching around
the edge and dusted the edges with a little chalk ink. I sewed
the pocket on to the front of the card before I attached the top
layer to the card base-leaving a nice clean look to the inside
of the card as well. This is an easy design to change for any
theme. The twine adds the cutest touch. Love it!

Cuts:
  • Create A Critter cartridge pg.40
  • 3"  Crab and layer
  • Plantin SchoolBook cartridge pg. 78
  • 1 1/4" tag
  • Standard A2 sized card-from PTI
Have a great week. :)
