Tiny Reindeer

*SECOND POST TODAY*
I have a couple minutes of *free* time, so I thought I would post another cute little crafty treat. I got the idea from Kerry's paper crafts blog. She used a Silhouette to cut her antlers-you can check hers out HERE.
These are snack sized chocolate bars--I found mine at Target.
I cut the antlers from the reindeer on page 126 of
the Doodlecharms cartridge. Since there isn't just an antler
cut, you'll have to use your gypsy to move the reindeer
off the edge of the mat-- so you won't waste your paper.
I sized the reindeer at 3 1/2 with my Gypsy and linedfour along one edge. I used chocolate chip colored paper
from SU for the antlers. The reindeers are made out of
the smooth textured, kraft lt colored, Coredinations paper.
The red sparkle paper is a scrap of something I had on hand.
I cut a circle for the nose at a 1/2 inch.
This is what it looks like after you cut it out with your
Cricut. You will still have to use your scissors to cut out the actual
antlers from the rest of the head. You should get
20 sets of antlers from one piece of 12X12 paper.
Cute idea for plates at holiday dinners,
craft fairs, attached to a holiday card, for kids to give their friends,
even on a gift. I love them. I've already made about
100 of these this year.

Snow Cute!

Hi everyone! I feel like time to get things done before Christmas is going quickly! I have a quick share today.
Aren't they *snow cute*! I wrapped a full sized
chocolate bar with white wrapping paper and
then stamped the largest Peachy Keen *Snow Cutie* face,
from the assortment set, with black Momento ink. I
chalked the cheeks and added little white highlights with
a gel pen. For the earmuffs I used a black pipe cleaner
and  pom poms. TIP: use a cool melt glue gun for glueing.
I just bought mine and it works great without burning
my fingers! The cute *Merriest Wishes* stamp is from
the Jingle All The Way set by My Craft Spot.
If you don't want to use buttons--I've
used black puffy paint and it looks just
as cute!
Another really cute things about these little
cuties is they go well with the snowman from the
Winter Frolic cartridge--the one with the earmuffs.
Fun to coordinate a card with one of these treats.
Hopefully, I can post a couple more ideas later today!

My Craft Spot Challenge #37 -Christmas Shaped Cards

Hi everyone! It feels so good to be back to blogging. The cold and flu season has already struck the Egaas household. I've just recovered from the flu and a sinus infection. I was super bummed about being sick for the black friday sales, especially with my sister visiting and our big shopping plans. I guess we'll have to wait and plan on next year.  I hope all of you were able to score some good deals and something special for yourselves (like that new cricut cartridge you've been hoping for). :)

Enough about shopping--let's talk about crafting! Today's Monday Challenge at My Craft Spot is to create a Christmas shaped card. Since I am behind on my holiday crafting, I thought I would make a present shaped card that I could use as a gift card holder.
I started with the *present* cut on page 109 of Doodlecharms.
I wanted my card to still fit in an A2 sized envelope,so I cut the
layers at 4 1/2 ". The *Merriest Wishes* is from the
Jingle All The Way stamp set by My Craft Spot.
I welded the *shadow* feature with my Gypsy
to make a card.
I cut an extra shadow layer, cut the top section off,
and then sewed around the edge to make a pocket.
The stamped *To From* is from the *Merry Christmas*
stamp set by My Craft Spot. I ran a piece of sticky
strip and then added some maraschino twine.
Since I was on a roll I made a couple more cards.
I used scarlet red, snow white, and bubble gum
hand dyed crinkle ribbon.
The scarlet red ribbon makes such a beautiful bow.
Be sure to make a Christmas shaped card and link it up to this weeks Monday challenge. I have lots to share this week, so I'll see you all tomorrow. :)
