I needed some gift card holders for all of my end of year thank you cards. I sewed a little pocket to the front of my card, to hold the gift card-easy! A seafood restaurant themed gift needed a little crab *holding* the card. Perfect!
I wrapped the caribbean colored twine and attached the tag stamped with the Enjoy! sentiment from the Sweet Sentiments set #2. I added a little stitching around the edge and dusted the edges with a little chalk ink. I sewed the pocket on to the front of the card before I attached the top layer to the card base-leaving a nice clean look to the inside of the card as well. This is an easy design to change for any theme. The twine adds the cutest touch. Love it! |
Cuts:
- Create A Critter cartridge pg.40
- 3" Crab and layer
- Plantin SchoolBook cartridge pg. 78
- 1 1/4" tag
- Standard A2 sized card-from PTI
Very CUTE card! I like the idea of having the giftcard on the front of the card!

ReplyDeleteThis is so cute, Ally! How clever to put the pocket on the card front - and what a super sentiment to use with a gift card, too!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome Ally! I love everything about it, especially the colors! The pocket on the front of the card is a nice touch and that sentiment is perfect!
