Enough about shopping--let's talk about crafting! Today's Monday Challenge at My Craft Spot is to create a Christmas shaped card. Since I am behind on my holiday crafting, I thought I would make a present shaped card that I could use as a gift card holder.
I started with the *present* cut on page 109 of Doodlecharms. I wanted my card to still fit in an A2 sized envelope,so I cut the layers at 4 1/2 ". The *Merriest Wishes* is from the Jingle All The Way stamp set by My Craft Spot. |
I welded the *shadow* feature with my Gypsy to make a card. |
I cut an extra shadow layer, cut the top section off, and then sewed around the edge to make a pocket. The stamped *To From* is from the *Merry Christmas* stamp set by My Craft Spot. I ran a piece of sticky strip and then added some maraschino twine. |
Since I was on a roll I made a couple more cards. I used scarlet red, snow white, and bubble gum hand dyed crinkle ribbon. |
The scarlet red ribbon makes such a beautiful bow. |
How super cute!! I love these...especially how the ribbon is real.
