BRRR...

Happy 2011! I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday break! I sure enjoyed spending time with my family making fun memories together. The big news for our family this break was,... Maddie got her license! Now we have another driver in the house, which will be really nice! The big girls went back to school yesterday, and even though I miss them, it will be good to get back on a schedule. Lots of late nights equal grumpy girls. :)

One of my resolutions this year is to get on a better schedule with crafting and blog posting. :) I really need to get my card *stash* built back up. It is frustrating when I need a card and I don't already have one made, or time to make one, and I end up buying one. *gasp* I'm happy to report, that I'm off to a good start.

The weather here in the Seattle area inspired today's card...BRRRR!

Recipe:
  • Winter Woodland cartridge
  • Winter Frolic cartridge
  • AWI Action Wobbles
  • Enamel Accents-black
  • Stickles
  • DCWV *Tis the Season* stack
  • PTI Aqua Mist cardstock
  • Scotch Quick Dry glue
  • Stampin Up Pop Dots
  • Corner rounder
  • Standard A2 sized card base
Cuts:
  • Winter Frolic cartridge pg.35
  • 3" foundation beaver and all layers
  • Winter Woodland cartridge pg.69
  • 1"  foundation BRRRR and shadow

The colors on this card are some of my favorites. Everywhere I look I see shades of aqua...and I'm loving it! I feel like aqua is one of those great colors that feels *cool* and can be used for spring, summer, or winter. A fun thing you can't see in this picture is, I used an Action Wobble behind the beaver and he *shakes* like he's really cold. If you haven't seen any information about the AWI Action Wobbles yet, you can find out more here. Also, I've been using black enamel accents on my critter eyes and noses. It kinda seems to *flatten out* when it dries, so I am going to stick with my tried and true glossy accents.

Gatta go finish my submission for My Pink Stamper's design challenge. :)
